I wanted to make a quick post about what Wayward Completionist is all about, although it will probably veer off along the way, so buckle up for that. Currently, I, Shaun Walton, am a freelance contributor for Steel Media. I write week daily for AppSpy and 148Apps, and occasionally will show up with a review or feature on PocketGamer. Although on the latter, you will see my author page awash with code articles that I update on the weekends. There is also the 9-to-5 job I have, but that one is irrelevant.

In short, I work a lot. In my downtime, I have two main hobbies; I love to game, and I enjoy writing. My work with Steel Media is really fun, but I sometimes get the urge to write about other things I can’t really do there. My editor is great, and I am able to write some really dumb stuff, don’t get me wrong, but I doubt they would green-light a ramble about my love for Final Fantasy XIV or Wuthering Waves. So, here we are.

About the name, and in turn a little extra about me. When I game, I am a completionist. I love to gather every little collectable and pick and earn every trophy or achievement there is. Or rather, I aspire to that. I am convinced the space where my brain should be is in fact one single Magpie. I will get really entrapped in one title for a while, and then something shiny will catch my eye and I will wander off elsewhere. Hence, Wayward Completionist. I do try.

That is just a little about what I want to achieve here. A nice space to build a portfolio, and somewhere to scream into the void about things I love or one of the many, many things that annoy me.
