It might have come to some of your attention that this site has not been updated a lot lately, and I figured I should just write a little something on why. Or rather, I probably should have before, but still. On the future of Wayward Completionist, well, there isn’t really one. It’s going.

Dramatic beginning, no? I have not lost any of my passion for writing; however, that might have been a bit of a deterrent at the start of this site. That is because I struggled with naming it. I would have sat around thinking forever and never have gotten started, so I just chose Wayward Completionist and cracked on.

There’s no getting around the fact that it was always a placeholder name, though. It’s a bit of a mouthful, and not as gaming-related as I would hope. But two or three months ago, I landed on the perfect name, which miraculously had a URL free. So, we are undergoing something of a rebranding. 

It has taken a bit of time, truth be told. I decided to try to properly design a site, instead of picking a template, to have the layout I wanted. Turns out I am not the best at that, but I got there in the end, more or less. Even better, I recently got a logo made for it, and I am absolutely chuffed to bits with it. 

Suffice it to say, this has all taken up my limited free time. Time that I would have usually spent writing, hence the lack of output here. I am now, however, at a point where I can confidently say the new site should launch in the next few weeks. There’s just a couple of dozen more boring admin tasks to do. They never said following your dreams involved so much busy work.

So, that is just a quick update. Wayward Completionist will close and make way for what will hopefully be a nicer, more fitting place to be. And I hope everyone enjoys the name and logo as much as I do.
