We are running the gamut of genres today. From horror, to cleaning, to legendary RPGs, the Wayward Roundup has it all this week. We are also spending most of our time in space, which is an odd novelty. Wasn’t planned, but let’s float with it. So, fasten up your spacesuit, and let’s dive in.
Alien Isolation 2 gets a surprise teaser trailer
When I first joined Steel Media, my first review on PocketGamer was for Alien: Isolation. It was really fun, despite one or two flaws. The tension, the terror, the giant Alien chopping you into pieces; it was the best Alien game. Not that that’s hard. Now, after over a decade, a sequel teaser was dropped.
It doesn’t give much away, just a door opening to a rainy city, but that is enough to get fans speculating. Will Alien: Isolation 2 be in a colony instead of on a ship? And if so, won’t that make it worse? Part of the brilliance of Alien: Isolation was that it was mostly in small areas where you could be jumped from any angle. Still, excitement is starting to build.
Warframe announces Jade Shadows: Constellations narrative quests
The announcement of Jade Shadows: Constellations coming to Warframe has me both ecstatic and grumpy in equal measure. To start with, it’s going to be great. The story of the Stalker continues with his two children, Orion and Sirius, going head to head. And you get to pick your side.
Digital Extremes teamed up once again with BAFTA-nominated arthouse THE LINE to produce these beautiful trailers. Make sure to check them both out. However, we are also getting two Protoframes. Vena will debut as the other half of Garuda, whilst Ash gets Ryoku as his alter-ego. I just stopped maining Ash! I can’t explain how annoyed that makes me. At least Nidus is getting an upgrade, too.
PowerWash Simulator 2 reveals DLC in a galaxy far, far away
Sticking with space, PowerWash Simulator 2 fans are getting a huge treat, which is good, because I am one. We just got back from the Land of Ooo after cleaning up the messes of Finn and Jake, which has been a massive delight. And this summer, it will be the turn of the Star Wars universe.
I don’t know which I love more. During this pack, you will take on the role of a labour droid, and according to the trailer, clean up the likes of an X-Wing, head of Hoth, and get sand everywhere on Tatooine. Perhaps most interesting, we see what looks to be an Imperial Destroyer. Are we the cleaning baddies?
Star Wars: Galactic Racers gets a release date
Before we head back down to earth, one more from the fringes of space. Star Wars: Galactic Racers will officially be released on October 6th, as per the pre-order trailer. There are a few extra goodies for grabbing the Deluxe Edition, like the Kor Sarum: Darc X Landspeeder, but whichever you get, it’s going to be fun.
Whether you have played Star Wars Episode 1: Racer, the KOTR minigame, or the arcade version, racing in Star Wars is so fun. The speed, the cool visuals of the scrap-heap vehicles, and the fact that it is the best thing from Episode 1, Star Wars: Galactic Racers is definitely one to pick up.
Final Fantasy X launches a 25th Anniversary website
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X, one of the best games in the series. I will also stand by the fact that Final Fantasy X-2 was also a fantastic game. The job switching mechanics were fantastic. They screwed up Blitzball in that one, though. I want to play it, not manage. That aside, there is a shiny celebration website to mark the occasion, with some interesting news.

Right now, it is mostly merchandise, which is a shame. No Final Fantasy X-3 as of yet. Instead, a host of music, books, and stuffed toys. There are plushies of the main cast, plus Jecht, and compilation albums all releasing in July. There’s also news of a pop-up store to follow, which will no doubt be Japan-only. That’s a shame.
